As Chairman of Port Cyber, Sam has played a key role in the architecture, development, and guidance of the company from its inception. He strongly believes in continual improvement and innovation, the alignment of interests between the Port Cyber team and clients, and the power of sharing in the company’s success through an Equity Incentive Plan (EIP).

Sam brings over three decades of professional experience to Port Cyber, encompassing executive management, compliance, and hands-on execution. He possesses comprehensive expertise of information technology and how to optimally leverage technology to support successful business operations. In addition to hundreds of small- and mid-sized organizations, Sam has severed many large, well-known organizations over the course of his career, including: World Bank Group, Department of the Army Combat Materiel Research Laboratory, Battelle Memorial Institute, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic (SACLANT), New York City Police Department (NYPD), United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB), the Smithsonian Institution, and many others.

When he is not hard at work, you can find Sam spending time with his wife and children or pursuing hobbies such as reading, scuba diving, observational astronomy, general aviation, and concocting various soup dishes (on occasion with great success). Like many other technologists, Sam has a great interest in artificial intelligence and its potential impact on society. He is passionate about developing innovations and has maintained a lifelong interest in technology.

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Port Cyber, Jeff is responsible for the execution of the company’s vision for delivering managed IT services, and for meeting the challenge to stay true to Port Cyber’s mission to be a trusted IT safe harbor for its clients.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science in education from Shippensburg University but has always held an interest in technology. He embarked on his IT career in the early 1990s with a focus on legal technologies and electronic discovery. Seeking broader experience, he went to work at Dataprise, Inc., in 1998, where he ascended to Director of Enterprise Services and led the effort to design and deploy secure data networks for the 2004 G8 Summit in Sea Island, Georgia.

With a goal to further focus on cybersecurity, Jeff joined the secure communications firm KoolSpan, Inc., from 2005 to 2010 as Director of Information Technology. During his time there, he obtained his Certified Information Systems Security Professional recognition and still maintains this certification as he leads Port Cyber’s cybersecurity initiatives.

Jeff is active in his community and proudly serves on the Riverside Neighborhood Association Board in Baltimore, MD. In his free time, he enjoys cigars and whiskey of all varieties and maintains an active interest in personal electric vehicles (PEVs). His passion for PEVs led to becoming a founding member and director for Glydiators, Inc., a DC-based non-profit organization focused on promoting sustainable micro-mobility solutions for individuals.

As Chief Operating Officer of Port Cyber, Tim is responsible for translating the company’s vision into disciplined execution across people, processes, and technology. He oversees day‑to‑day operations, ensures organizational alignment, and drives continuous improvement across service delivery, client experience, and internal systems—so Port Cyber can grow thoughtfully without losing sight of personal experience.

Prior to joining Port Cyber’s executive team, Tim served as Vice President of Technical Services at Shipshape IT, where he managed efforts between the support team and the technical advisors to provide clients with continuity in their IT services.

In his free time, Tim enjoys playing music, studying philosophy, and being passionate about all things technical. He also enjoys connecting with nature on long weekend hikes through the wilderness and spending time with his wife and children.

As Chief Information Officer of Port Cyber, Travis is responsible for managing the organization’s technology infrastructure and implementing its technology strategy . His IT career began in the early 1990s, when he developed one of the first websites for Florida International University (FIU) where he earned a master’s degree, before moving to Georgetown University in the mid 90s.

Ultimately, he found his way to the managed IT services industry while working as an independent contractor and then later for Dataprise, Inc., one of the nation’s largest managed IT service providers. There, he spent nine years moving quickly from a network engineer into management and then held several senior management roles during his tenure. Prior to joining Port Cyber, Travis served as the Chief Information Officer for the DC Department of Behavioral Health, where he assisted in the procurement and development of the practice management system for all DC Mental Health Agencies, while working with Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital to address concerns identified by the Department of Justice years earlier—ultimately assisting in the removal of federal oversight of the facility after nearly ten years of control.

Travis spends much of his free time coaching youth soccer for both Bethesda Chevy Chase High School’s varsity girls soccer team—who made it to the Maryland State Championship game in the fall of 2025—and Montgomery Soccer, Inc.’s, travel program.

As Director of Support Services at Port Cyber, Ben oversees the Support Desk, leading his team in delivering an exceptional client experience. He is motivated by the opportunity to resolve all varieties of IT challenges for clients and takes pride in hearing their satisfaction when issues are successfully resolved. He is equally passionate about mentoring his team and helping them grow their technical skills while maintaining a high standard of service.

Ben’s passion for technology and customer service began in retail and evolved as he started building PCs and home networks. He studied history at the University of Maryland, College Park, before earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Networks and Security from the University of Maryland University College (now UMGC).

He began his career in managed IT services as a Tier 1 technician at Shipshape IT and advanced into a leadership role after several years of hands-on client support and operational experience.

A native of Potomac, MD, Ben applies annually to become a Jeopardy! contestant and looks forward to the call each year alongside his fiancée and two hounds, Mavis and Ginger.

As Manager of Administration at Port Cyber, Rebecca oversees the day-to-day administrative functions of the company. With over eight years of customer service and retail management experience, Rebecca excels at her responsibilities, which include operations, administration of company benefits, HR policies, and programs and practices. She also maintains accounts payable, receivables, and monthly billing.

Rebecca attended The George Washington University and University of Maryland Global Campus, studying psychology and human resources management during her undergraduate career. She lives in Laurel, MD, with her Shih Tzu puppies, Bentley and Beamer. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys traveling and working as a hobby baker—which she has operated her own home-based bakery, Sweet Secrets Bakery, since she was 15 years old.

As Port Cyber’s Corporate Counsel, Jay uses over two decades of experience as a commercial litigator and business advisor to help the company assess risk, address complex business issues, and innovate its products and services to enhance client relationships.

In his free time, Jay dominates Port Cyber’s fantasy football league and plays softball and tennis. He has also done award-winning work with underprivileged District of Columbia high-school students to provide mentors, knowledge, motivation, and preparation to succeed at four-year colleges.
